Methods & Date Engineer – 6 Months (renewable) - Nanterre, France

Hybrid working 3 days on site, 2 days remote
Must be fluent in English and French

Essential:-  3-5 years of experience mandatory. Indicate school in data management Aveva Engineering. Sector oil and gas preferred. Data Warehousing, Power BI, data model, configuration, loading, data quality. Information Quality Management Framework. Information Management Plan

Purpose of the service
The Methods & Data Engineer will carry out the following tasks as Methods & Data Engineer.  Be responsible for the deployment of the Engineering Data Warehouse on the project (Master Tag Index, Equipment List, Requisition module, etc.), while adapting the configuration to the needs of the Project. Understanding of the standard content of the Engineering Data Warehouse. Analysis of the particularities of the project and definition of the configurations to be made (views, check mechanisms, import configurations, definition of export formats and mappings, etc.). First level configurations. Writing specifications, clarifications with the administrator team. Configuration monitoring by administrators. Tests before deployment. User training and preparation of associated documentation (presentations, user guides). Support for users in using the tool (first level support, communication).

The Method & Date Engineer will also be required to load data.
You will integrate into the Information Management team led by the Information Management Lead. You may be required to receive instructions as part of the team coordination carried out by the Lead, in relation to the activities listed above.

REQUIRED SKILLS

The Methods & Data Engineer must be:
  • With a strong interest in data, mastering databases and handling large volumes of data
  • Ideally know AVEVA ENGINNERING (used as Engineering Data Warehouse), otherwise having worked with other databases (data model, configuration, loading, data quality, etc.)
  • Rigorous, responsive, with good interpersonal skills and communication skills, and a good sense of analysis
  • Fluent in English oral and written
  • Good knowledge of Excel is desired.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Engineering is a plus.

PROCEDURES - METHODOLOGY

It will be essential to follow the project rules, the Rules of the Art as well as the Quality Assurance procedures applicable to this project, in particular with regard to:
    • Information Quality Management Framework
    • Information Management Plan

QUALITY OF DOCUMENTATION PRODUCED

The documents produced by the Method & Data Engineer must have the required quality based on the tasks defined above, in particular:
  • Technical quality.
  • Quality of content (in relation to the volume of information on a given document).
  • Quality in the presentation (in relation to the graphics and ease of reading of the document produced).
  • All documents will be drawn up in the language of the contract.
