We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Automation Engineer in Europe or Latin America to join Rootstock Labs during an exciting time of growth. Reporting to the Head of QA, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Integrations team as they manage and support all partner integrations at Rootstock. This role focuses on both manual and automation testing, with an emphasis on user experience and end-to-end quality assurance. You will troubleshoot, identify, and report issues in integrations, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure optimal functionality across the Rootstock ecosystem.

The role requires someone who has relevant experience in the blockchain and cryptocurrency environment, is eager to challenge the status quo, and is driven to deliver a seamless user experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manual and UX Testing: Conduct manual testing, UX testing, and role-play as an end-user to identify potential issues and improve the user experience.
  • Issue Troubleshooting: Proactively troubleshoot and report integration issues, providing actionable insights to the integration team to ensure seamless performance.
  • Automation Implementation: Design, develop, and execute automation processes whenever possible to optimize testing.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate asynchronously with global teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality integrations across squads.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and comprehensive documentation to support QA processes.
  • Regression Testing: Perform thorough regression testing to verify bug resolutions or prepare for new integrations.
  • QA Process Improvement: Establish and promote excellent QA practices and processes that can be adopted by other technical teams within the organization.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management and relevant squads to ensure transparency and informed decision-making.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer.
  • Blockchain Knowledge: Relevant experience in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency, and decentralized protocols. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge and familiarity with the ecosystem.
  • Manual and UX Testing Expertise: Strong experience in manual testing, end-user testing, and UX evaluation.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of common software architectures (web/mobile/API/DB).
  • Automation Skills: Proven ability to design and execute automation scripts using tools like WebdriverIO, Appium, and similar.
  • Bug Tracking and Test Management: Proficiency in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Testomat.io).
  • Agile Experience: Experience in Agile/Scrum development processes and working with remote teams.
  • Ownership and Accountability: An ownership mindset with strong attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
