The Regional Director of Quality Assurance provides leadership, direction and pro-active support to the facilities within the region and the global organization in assuring constant improvement and maintenance/consistency in quality systems management, service processes, technology, and customer satisfaction. 

Reporting to the Senior Director Global Quality Assurance and working in conjunction with the other members of the Global Quality Assurance Team, the incumbent establishes initiatives and goals in their region related to the global quality systems orientation. They also ensure implementation of global standard operating procedures, best quality assurance practices, and special projects, contributing with suggestions/feedback.

At all times, the Regional Qaulity Assurance Director acts in an ethical impartial manner and uphold the company values as defined in the Code of Conduct.

The main activities are:

Coaching National Quality Heads, if needed through training, in ensuring the global quality system (including IT tools) are in compliance with Global Quality (GRD/SOP), regulatory and accreditation requirements across all facilities within their region;  Serve as the region liaison with the Global Quality, provide leadership and oversight to the region relative to the scientific integrity of the labs and service functions; Provide expertise in quality risk management, including anticipation, work-stoppage recommendations, and risk mitigation, while offering hands-on support for issue and crisis management in collaboration with regional management and Technical Hubs.  Ensure quality-related communication, reporting, and updates are effectively delivered to regional and global stakeholders. Provide oversight of global audit planning for facilities in the region, including audits of new laboratories, and, when required, participate in critical local audits(eg. Global Key Accounts, national accreditation bodies, other) Support implementation of new or updated GRD's and quality system documents, write/review global Quality KPI, etc. Undertake, or review, due diligence on new or potential labs and lead the quality integration of new laboratories with the regional business and Hubs;  Anticipate and champion QA activities in support of GKA/Business or Global Quality & Operations initiatives and programs (eg. LIMS Framework / Traceability) Ensure Key Quality System Indicators are completed by the facilities in a timely manner, analysed and appropriately actioned.

YOUR PROFILE

You hold at a minimum a Bachelor's degree in microbiology, chemistry, food science/technology, or quality assurance with at least a 10 years of broad technical experience in a relevant field, with at least 5 years in Quality System Management within ISO 17025 (or equivalent) and experience with the accreditation process.
Proven track record in handling topics with national authorities is ideal.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multicultural and matrix organization.
Fluency in English (written and verbal) is mandatory, knowledge of other regional languages preferred (French, Spanish, German and/or Italian).
