Senior Electrical Engineer

Education and Experience Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification from an engineering school (Bac+5).
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the electrical field, specifically in the construction of renewable energy plants and/or electrical infrastructures internationally.
- Possession of electrical certification HC and BC.
- Fluency in both English and French is required. Knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Plan and execute electrical construction activities for photovoltaic and wind power plants, including energy storage systems, high voltage substations, and interconnections where applicable, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-focused delivery.
- Network Management:
- Create and manage a network of electrical engineers, implementing the Competent Person for Electrical Operations (CPEO) concept in coordination with the HSE department. Participate in recruitment processes, regulatory monitoring in geographical areas, awareness campaigns, and sharing best practices.
- LOTO Procedures:
- Ensure the company’s Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedure is communicated to all project teams (in affiliated and growing countries) and train the CPEO network in the implementation of this procedure.
- Safety Support:
- Support HSE in implementing and verifying critical safety elements in engineering during project execution.
- Technical Support:
- Provide support to subsidiaries on electrical matters, facilitating or leading the resolution of technical electrical issues.
- Best Practices and Lessons Learned:
- Maintain a connection with electrical engineers in subsidiaries to share best practices and lessons learned (REX).
- Technical Audits:
- Conduct technical audits on-site as required by the headquarters’ management.
- Compliance:
- Ensure the review of electrical engineering deliverables and their compliance with local grid codes.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong project management and execution skills with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness.
- Excellent leadership and network management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of LOTO procedures and implementation.
- Expertise in safety regulations and best practices within the electrical engineering field.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to support and resolve technical electrical issues.
- Effective communication and training skills, with an ability to share knowledge and best practices.
- Willingness to travel internationally for on-site technical audits and support.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and French is essential.
- Knowledge of Spanish is advantageous.
