Arkane Lyon is developing the upcoming title Marvel’s Blade, a third person, single player, action-adventure set in the heart of Paris. The game is based on the comic book hero Blade and will feature an original story with the studio’s signature immersive gameplay and world-class narrative.

Responsibilities

  • A good understanding of the constraints coming from the game design, engine and hardware.
  • Define the technical constraints relating to the characters and animated objects
  • Integrate the resources into the engine and ensure compliance with the constraints and performance monitoring
  • Create advanced rigs and skinning for characters, creatures, and props
  • Create and support tools to improve the rigging and animation pipeline, according to the project needs
  • Help artistic teams to resolve technical issues
  • Setup of character ragdolls and cloth physics
  • Collaborate and share knowledge on latest technological watch with other technical artists in the studio


Required skills

  • In depth knowledge of Maya and Python
  • Outstanding rigging and deformation skills (body/facial)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate team spirit, autonomy and organization
  • Finding balance between aesthetic, usability, and technical complexity
  • Experience with MotionBuilder is a plus
