Head of Data Tech Adoption and Deployment

Purpose of the job

LVMH is #1 Luxury Group worldwide, with 75+ distinguished Maisons rooted in 6 sectors: wines & spirit, fashion & leather goods, perfumes & cosmetics, watches & jeweler, selective retailing, other activities around lifestyle, culture and the arts. LVMH as a group is meant to accelerate the transformation of its Maisons, especially around Digital and IT areas. As such, being part of LVMH IT means delivering assets and guidelines to deploy supporting capabilities in an omnichannel, data driven business world. In this perspective, LVMH IT is seeking a Senior Data Tech Leader embodying the adoption of the assets and guidelines into the Maison Data Platform.

The main objective of the Head of Data Tech Adoption and Deployment is to lead and support strategic data enabling initiatives across all Maisons within LVMH. She/he will be responsible for understanding and aligning with the design orientations of key stakes, providing expert guidance on data-related inquiries, and working closely with the head of data product team and head of engineering team to ensure seamless integration of data solutions within each Maison.

Missions

The Head of Data Tech Adoption and Deployment will conduct the following missions:

  • From a Maisons perspective:
  • Be the trusted advisor for Maisons to engage with their key tech stakeholders (head of data, …) to identify Maison’s priorities, technical landscape, constraints, …
  • Align Maisons data platform solutions according to blueprint and group recommendations
  • Share and promote reusable platform assets towards Maisons but also identify best practices within the Maison to provide insights for group framework.
  • Support the Maisons in their “One Data Platform” migration, working on the migration of legacy data platform to the GCP one
  • Support the Maisons in the deployment of genAI capabilities to support their business Use Cases
  • Organize the adoption of a Data Platform in China for each Maison, under LVMH framework
  • From LVMH perspective:
  • Gather and centralize Maison’s projects / initiatives/ roadmap
  • Define a framework to define and measure adoption of the Maisons
  • Define a strategy to accelerate adoption.
  • Infuse the learning back from Maison’s feedbacks and insights gathered into the organization and product area roadmap, ensuring effective product launches and differentiated features.
  • Lead with the PO the conversation with identified Maisons on future capabilities to by combining technical direction and Maison’s insight.
  • Identify genAI capabilities to be developed/deployed to accelerate rollout of business use cases within Group and Maisons
  • Work closely with all team members within the IT, and especially within Data department

As a manager of the Adoption team, the objectives are the following:

  • Manage a team of Solution Engineers in charge of deploying data platform assets within Maisons
  • Lead a Solution oriented vision of the Data platform to provide guidance to the Solution Engineers

Required skills

  • Strong background in Data projects and implementation
  • Good knowledge on up-to-date Data technology stack, understanding the different concepts and how they are implemented
  • Experience in IT projects with front and logistics stakes (luxury retail is a plus)
  • Listen to your interlocutors with empathy
  • Explain complex things with simple words, without ever missing the big picture
  • Manage a team towards delivering concrete results and value
  • Communicate tough choices, and take the time to explain the “why” behind
  • Speak to both technology teams and business representatives
  • Communicate in French and English fluently.
  • Ability to speak publicly and deliver technical presentations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, written/verbal communication, presentation, and active listening skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • 5 years of experience in people management, including experience in technical leadership
  • Team spirit / pugnacity
  • Will to get hands-on if necessary
