What are the key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager?
- Drive product sales activities for both new and renewal business to meet or exceed revenue targets for products and services.
- Actively prospect and acquire new clients, building a strong pipeline of potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with field sales, enterprise sales teams, and channel partners to develop and execute proactive strategies that align with overall account objectives, driving revenue growth.
- Actively participate in all stages of the sales process, ensuring smooth communication between sales and technical teams regarding product capabilities, success stories, and strategies.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conventions to expand visibility and foster networking.
- Lead presentations of advanced solutions, matching customer needs with the company's products and services, and position Multiverse Computing's offerings as superior to competitors.
- Work with team members to develop clear, compelling proposals, quotations, and value propositions for both current and prospective customers.
- Provide valuable client feedback to product development and marketing teams to shape future offerings and improve strategies.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Development Representative or in sales/consulting, specializing in engineering/technology applications, with a demonstrated history of success.
- Native French speaker with fluent proficiency in English.
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing at least six-figure new logo deals within a designated territory.
- M.Sc. or degree in sciences or engineering. A combination of this with an MBA would be highly valued.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., DEV, Marketing, PM).
- Skilled at fostering collaboration and coordination across teams located in multiple global regions.
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to identify and deliver tailored solutions for customers.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
