Position

Gateway Seminary invites applications and nominations for a full-time trustee-elected faculty position, Director of Academic Graduate Studies Program and Professor of New Testament, Old Testament, Theology, or Church History.

Program Overview

The Academic Graduate Studies Program at Gateway Seminary encompasses two degrees, the Ph.D. and the Th.M. The majors include Old Testament, New Testament, and Theology, and the minors include Old Testament, New Testament, Theology, Church History, and Applied Theology.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in New Testament, Old Testament, Theology, or Church History from an accredited institution is required.

Responsibilities

  • The Director leads Gateway’s academic graduate study programs.
  • This leadership includes the recruitment of students and affiliate faculty, the coordination of seminars and defenses, and the management of the doctoral and Th.M. programs at Gateway Seminary.
  • The director participates in shared faculty governance as a trustee elected faculty member and teaches 10 credit hours annually.

Candidate Requirements

  • Candidates are expected to possess administrative, research, and teaching competence.
  • Appointment requires affirmation of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and the desire to work collaboratively and collegially toward the accomplishing of the mission and vision statements of the Seminary.
  • Gateway Seminary faculty are required to be active members of a Southern Baptist church.
