We are seeking a Senior Public Affairs Consultant to lead the agency of Kiaros Public Affairs to the next level in Paris. Must have experience in an agency environment. This is a fast‑growing agency.
Overview
To support our vision and win new work, you will monitor, analyze, develop strategy, and advise clients across industries in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of client projects across public affairs and policy work, ensuring quality and impact.
- Provide intelligent regulatory and prudential monitoring.
- Ensure precise monitoring services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with governments throughout France and the EU, including Brussels.
- Prepare government strategies in assigned regions and maintain good relations with city officials.
- Coordinate with departments and colleagues and provide inputs to officials.
- Support proposal development, pitches, and client relationships.
- Manage project budgets and delivery.
- Research policy topics and provide strategic advice to clients.
- Lead the development and delivery of think‑tank style reports.
- Build an internal communications and engagement strategy.
- Manage a small team and inspire staff to excel.
- Support business‑development activities and help win new work.
- Perform other hands‑on tasks as needed in a start‑up environment.
Qualifications
- Experience leading a young team and working directly with senior stakeholders.
- Strong expertise in public affairs, strategic communication, and industry knowledge, especially in agriculture, energy, finance, local authority, and environment.
- Understanding of Brussels, EU policy, financial markets, and economic policies.
- Excellent monitoring skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with policymakers, trade associations, think tanks, and industry leaders.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with ability to advise clients on policy and advocacy objectives.
- Strong communication and project‑management skills.
- Sense of humor and high‑level education or STEM background.
- Influential leadership and ability to develop and motivate staff.
- Experience in lobbying and relationship building.
