System Verification Engineer

I'm working with a leading provider of advanced mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), offering innovative solutions that bridge the analog and digital domains. With a focus on high performance, low power consumption, and customization. Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital IC Verification Engineer to contribute to the development of a cutting-edge CMOS Transceiver ASIC for the Communications market.
This would be a hybrid role based in either Paris/Caen/Grenoble with 3 days required on site per week.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with mixed-signal and digital IC design engineers to ensure the robust verification of digital processing functions within the ASIC.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive verification methodologies aligned with project objectives.
- Create detailed verification plans that thoroughly address circuit specifications.
- Design and implement self-checking test benches for both block-level and top-level verification.
- Conduct thorough regression testing on RTL and gate-level netlists.
- Provide support to the Analog design team in mixed-signal simulations.
- Actively participate in the evaluation and characterization of fabricated ASICs in our measurement lab.
- Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team to deliver a state-of-the-art ASIC.
- Contribute to design reviews and ensure adherence to company quality assurance standards.
- Prepare clear and concise documentation in accordance with established guidelines.
Qualities
- Advanced Education and Experience: A Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, combined with at least three years of hands-on experience in digital IC verification, ensures a strong foundation in the fundamentals of the role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in digital hardware description languages (VHDL or Verilog) and scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python) is essential for designing and simulating digital circuits. In-depth knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies demonstrates a commitment to modern verification practices.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions is crucial for identifying and addressing verification challenges.
- Domain Expertise: Experience in verifying digital functions for mixed-signal ICs, such as A/D converters, D/A converters, and RF transceivers, showcases a deep understanding of the intricacies of these components and their interactions.
