Product Owner – Receivables Finance

We want people who are passionate about building relationships with clients and able to market lending solutions that will work for all stakeholdersPurpose of the RoleAs we build on our agile ways of working, we are seeking a product owner, with extensive knowledge of the receivables market, to help us implement new platforms, launch new products and grow our receivables offering in Spain before support a launch in other European countries.Core Responsibilities• Own build and develop the product vision, long-term roadmap, and overall product strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market needs• Understands customer needs, market demands, and business context. Identifies key market opportunities and customer requirements. Builds feedback into product requirements and uses data to inform future product developments• Own the team backlogs, prioritizing features, enablers, and stories to ensure timely delivery of product increments• Work closely with the development teams to break down high-level features into actionable user stories• Defines, refines, and accepts iterations, ensuring they deliver business value and align with the product vision • Collaborates with cross-functional teams (design, development, marketing, etc.) to deliver the product efficiently• Reviews product features to ensure they meet the agreed-upon criteria before acceptance• Manages stakeholder expectations, ensuring effective communication of product progress, milestones, and results Skills and CompetenciesEssential Experience• 5+ years in the receivables industry in European, ideally with expertise in the Spanish market• Has previously been a Product owner• Experience of launching new platforms• Demonstrable knowledge of leading of leading valuestream teams• Has worked in AGILE teams and organisations; built roadmaps and managed backlogs Technical Skills• Expert knowledge of the receivables market and multiple products including factoring (recourse and non-recourse), confirming and reverse factoring, spot invoice discounting• Strong stakeholder management across multiple complex relationships• AGILE methodologies Core Competencies• Stakeholder management - Ability to build strong relationships• Customer and data-driven mindset - Comfortable with analytics, A/B testing and performance optimization• Entrepreneurial spirit - Thrives in startup/scale-up environments with ambiguity and limited resources• Self-starter - Takes initiative, manages priorities independently, and drives projects to completion • Communication excellence - Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, (additional European languages highly valued: French, Dutch)• Creative problem-solving - Innovative approach to operational challenges with limited budget Education• Experience dependent Personal Attributes• Passionate about fintech innovation and SME financing• Comfortable with regulated financial services environment• Results-oriented with strong attention to detail• Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, evolving organization• Team player who embodies RiverBank's values of integrity, excellence, and collaboration Please submit your application to careers@riverbank.euRiverBank is an equal opportunities employer.We work to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals can maximise their full potential.
