Our purpose: Together, we create amazing technology that unlocks access to energy for the benefit of all. DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE Enhancing Visual Systems for Geoscience Applications. Take part in shaping the visual identity of critical desktop applications used in the geoscience domain. This internship focuses on creating scalable, consistent, and modern visual elements and UI components that improve usability and productivity. You will collaborate with designers, developers, and product teams to analyze existing visual systems, propose enhancements, and prototype innovative features. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in designing for complex, real-world applications within a global technology company. DELIVERABLES Analyze Current Visual Systems: Identify areas for improvement and harmonization. Design and Prototype Interactive Features: Work on elements like semantic zooming and other advanced UI components. Research Best Practices: Explore trends and standards for visual systems in desktop applications. Conduct UI Audits: Suggest improvements for consistency and usability. Collaborate with Developers: Ensure design feasibility and assist in user testing to gather feedback. Learning Outcomes: Learn how to design and implement scalable visual systems for complex applications. Gain experience in prototyping and testing interactive features. Develop collaboration skills by working with cross-functional teams. Enhance knowledge of design tools and UI/UX best practices for desktop environments. REQUIRED SKILLS Masters in UX Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design or a related discipline Oral and written communication skills in English Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity Proficiency in Figma and Illustrator Experience with prototyping tools Familiarity with visual systems and UI component libraries Basic understanding of user research methods Basic knowledge of CSS
