Our purpose: Together, we create amazing technology that unlocks access to energy for the benefit of all. DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE: Modernizing a Legacy Design System for a Desktop Application. Join our team to transform a 20-year-old desktop application into a modern, user-friendly experience. You will analyze the current interface, identify areas for improvement, and create a scalable design system that aligns with today’s design standards. This internship offers the chance to work on a real-world product, collaborate with designers and developers, and leave a lasting impact on a widely used application. DELIVERABLES Conduct an Interface Audit: Identify inconsistencies and usability issues in the existing application. Develop a Design System: Define components, typography, color palettes, and interaction patterns. Build a Component Library: Create reusable, scalable components optimized for desktop platforms. Produce High-Fidelity Prototypes: Showcase proposed updates for key application sections. Create Collaboration Guidelines: Ensure smooth implementation between design and development teams. Learning Outcomes: Learn how to build and document a design system from scratch. Improve collaboration skills by working closely with cross-functional teams. Enhance proficiency in industry-standard design tools and workflows. REQUIRED SKILLS Studying a Masters in UX Design, Visual Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design. or a related discipline Oral and written communication skills in English Good motivation, autonomy, teamwork, and ingenuity Proficiency with design tools such as Figma Knowledge of UI/UX design principles Ability to create and document design systems Understanding of desktop application interfaces Basic awareness of desktop development frameworks Analytical skills for auditing and evaluating existing designs Seniority Level Internship Employment Type Internship Job Function Information Technology Industries Technology, Information and Internet Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at SLB by 2x Montpellier, Occitanie, France #J-18808-Ljbffr
