Job Overview

In a booming logistics sector and very competitive eco-system, your mission will be to develop, deploy and maintain a subpart of our IT Solution Portfolio of Digital solutions.

As a Product Manager you will be part of the Process & Group Solution Department and report to the Domain Manager in charge of the Customer integration & Shipping Group Digital solutions.

You are responsible for managing and developing the “Shipping solutions portfolio”, supporting our B2B and B2C customers in providing state of the art shipping services and closely working with our Marketing stakeholders.


Job Description

You will manage the delivery activity for several IT Solutions on both Projects and Products level, supervising related IT delivery teams.

Your first objectives will be to elaborate the functional and technical roadmap of your products, in close collaboration with the Group Marketing department and the IT teams and to drive the implementation/delivery of the given solutions.

You are directly in charge of the consistency & quality of the features & enhancements delivered within your Products portfolio (what, when, how, why).

You will have to coordinate the different IT actors (development teams, support teams, etc.) and actively contribute to the products’ vision.


To complete successfully your mission, you will be in charge of:

Structuring your products governance (resources, methodology, instances, etc.) with the support of your domain manager

Manage, secure and share both Build & Run activities/roadmaps, and contribute to IT Group Strategy by proposing leading and innovative IT solutions

Developing scalable and resilient products by tackling technical debt and enforcing design/development best practices

Being a key business partner, a driving force behind new services:

  • Actively liaise with Group and BUs business stakeholders to understand their business requirements and strategic stakes
  • Assess/challenge requirements & use cases versus business value and feasibility, ensure pertinence with strategy/product roadmap

Design, plan, develop, deploy and maintain the IT solutions keeping in mind optimal delivery time and other products dependencies

Supporting your product team in Solution design, user story, test strategy, test execution & validation

Maintaining excellent relations with all partners act cross-functions (Marketing, Operations, Subsidiaries, External or Internal Actors).

Collaborating with other Product Managers to implement solutions consistent and in line with IT functional and technical architecture standards, keeping in mind our complex IT ecosystem and related technical and functional interdependencies to optimize our time to market

Supervising IT Roll-Out Managers in deploying your product solutions in Bus

Ensuring Solutions compliance to Cyber Security / GDPR Group Standards for Solutions

Securing that your products portfolio is satisfying the criteria’s defined in the SLA’s to support Business operations (scalability and resilience)

Build and nurture product knowledge (overall features description, specifications, testing scenarios, architecture design of the solution, training material (such as user guide, tutorial, …)

Reporting on the activity of your products: building the relevant monitoring cockpit/KPIs on delivery activity, product usage, performance, quality, etc.

Actively contribute to the department governance by setting up project/product management instances and preparing related decks (steering committees), with the help and support of your domain manager

Change management:

  • Drive and support your products’ team transition to the Geopost Agile framework
  • Lead the transition to a seamless and automated product delivery process (DevOps move, tests automation, etc.


Overall, as IT PM you are responsible for creating value within your product scope.

Main technical environment is Java / Web / Open Source. Solutions architecture can be also supported by External outsourced Solutions from the market. As such the main technical framework for internal development is, but not limited to

  • Languages: Java, JavaScript.
  • Servers / Hosting : Linux, Apache, TomCat, Docker, K8’s, Cloud Azure
  • Kafka for real time data streaming
  • Database: PostgreSQL, Mysql, Redis.
  • Monitoring: Grafana, Loki, Prometheus.
  • Tools: JIRA, Confluence.


Profile & Skills

You have a proven track record in a similar position, handling complex projects in an international and multicultural environment.

You have a good mastering of IT project management practices, IT product lifecycle and different implementation methods (Agile, Waterfall).

You possess strong IT/Digital skills and demonstrate vision and leadership on technical subjects (web technologies, Java, web services, databases).

  • “Hands-on”, ability to operationally contribute to the success of your projects from a functional and technical perspective.
  • Ability to imagine & design pragmatic and effective solutions.
  • Design Thinking & Agile product Management: solid experience
  • Effective oral and written communication with various stakeholders (IT, Marketing, Operations, Finance, etc.).
  • “Customer" and "service quality" orientation.
  • Comfortable with matrix organization.
  • Key advantages knowledge/experience: international logistics, in particular export & import processes is a key advantage
  • Fluent English is mandatory.


Travel Requirements :

Business trips (mostly in Europe) would be expected (up to 10%).
