Our exciting Series A start-up is looking for a Data Engineering Head. You will be crucial in shaping the data strategy and driving data-driven decision-making. You will lead the data initiatives, oversee the data lifecycle, and ensure that the data infrastructure supports the rapid growth and innovation in the SaaS industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company’s business objectives
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, including data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists
- Design and implement robust data architecture and infrastructure to support scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with relevant regulations and policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data governance, quality, and management across the organization
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance our data capabilities
- Articulate the value of data initiatives to stakeholders through effective communication and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data leadership roles, preferably in SaaS or technology companies
- Strong technical background with expertise in modern data stack components, including cloud-based data warehouses, ETL tools, and business intelligence platforms
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data modelling and analytics engineering
- Proven track record of building and scaling data teams and implementing data strategies
- Experience with data governance, security, and compliance in a fast-growing environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization
