Join Scylla as a Bar Waiter / Waitress and play an important role in delivering a seamless, professional, and enjoyable beverage and guest service experience onboard our river cruise ships. In this guest-facing role, you provide high-quality drinks and attentive service in the bar, lounge, restaurant, and sundeck areas. Your teamwork, adaptability, and service mindset contribute directly to guest satisfaction and a welcoming onboard atmosphere.Your Responsibilities:Mix and serve cocktails professionally in line with Scylla and international standards.Provide attentive and friendly service in the bar, lounge, restaurant, and on the sundeck.Engage with guests, ensure satisfaction, and respond promptly and professionally to concerns.Support food service duties when required.Assist during embarkation and guest exchange, including luggage handling, cabin orientation, and minibar restocking.Perform daily mise-en-place and restock bar supplies.Handle beverages, equipment, and cleaning products responsibly.Participate in daily and weekly deep cleaning of bar and restaurant areas.Support restaurant and sundeck service as assigned by supervisors.What You Bring:Experience in the hotel or cruise industry is preferred.Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.Positive, professional, and calm under pressure.Open-minded, adaptable, and culturally aware.Guest-focused with a strong service-oriented mindset.Team player with good time management and organizational skills.Dependable, physically fit, and able to stand for long periods.Professional appearance and attitude.Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.What We OfferShared cabin accommodation onboard (may vary by ship).Uniform provided (please bring black trousers, formal black shoes — no ballerinas or sneakers — and a formal white shirt).Work in an international and supportive onboard environment.Opportunity to travel across Europe while developing your service skills.A role where your contribution directly impacts guest experience.Why Join Us?At Scylla, you do more than serve drinks — you become part of a passionate, international crew creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
