Join Scylla as a Restaurant Waiter / Waitress and become a key part of our onboard hospitality team. In this guest-facing role, you provide attentive, professional food and beverage service across restaurant and service areas, ensuring guests enjoy high-quality dining experiences. Your service mindset, flexibility, and teamwork contribute directly to guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations.Your Responsibilities:Deliver friendly and efficient food and beverage service in the Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, and on the Sundeck.Take guest orders and provide attentive, professional service throughout meals.Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, beverages, wine selections, and allergen information.Manage a service station of approximately 45–50 guests in coordination with team members or bartenders.Set up tables and polish cutlery and glassware according to company standards.Perform general and weekly deep cleaning of restaurant and bar areas.Adhere strictly to HACCP and Scylla hygiene protocols.Handle food, beverages, and service equipment responsibly and with care.Treat colleagues respectfully and support cross-functional teamwork.Assist during embarkation by welcoming guests, escorting them to cabins, explaining cabin features, and helping with luggage.Support Housekeeping during guest exchanges, including bed-making and minibar restocking when required.Support luggage handling and loading operations as needed.Contribute to a memorable and enjoyable guest experience.What You Bring:Previous experience in hospitality or on river cruise ships is preferred.Strong service orientation and guest care skills.Excellent communication and active listening abilities.Calm, resilient, and positive under pressure.Flexible, culturally sensitive, and a strong team player.Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods.Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.Professional appearance and well-groomed at all times.Strong attention to detail and reliable work ethic.What We OfferShared cabin accommodation onboard (may vary by ship).Uniform provided (please bring black trousers, formal black shoes — no ballerinas or sneakers — and a formal white shirt).Work in an international and professional onboard environment.Opportunity to travel across Europe while developing your hospitality skills.A visible role with direct impact on guest satisfaction.Why Join Us?At Scylla, your service and professionalism help create memorable dining experiences for our guests.
