CONTEXT
As part of the Global Communications team, support Sodexo’s reputation and promote its strategy and spokespeople with international, national, financial and specialist media to maximize visibility to support business objectives and enhance and protect Sodexo’s brand and reputation.
Actively contribute to effective integrated communications in support of Sodexo’s material information communication
Ensure that Sodexo is crisis communications-ready with an up to date suite of global tools and protocols.
Identify issues and themes that resonate with the media, to garner coverage and positively position Sodexo.
Monitor and measure media coverage for Sodexo at corporate level in order to assess impact and capture key learnings for future initiatives or issues.
Be an active benchmarker and drive this culture in the team to consistently look outside, learn from others and stay ahead of current trends.
MAIN ASSIGNMENTS
Media Relations :
- Support and execute media relations plans
- Develop angles for media coverage, organize interviews, press briefings and background meetings, prepare press releases, media packs and key messaging documents.
- Contribute to integrated communications plans on specific subjects in coordination with relevant teams.
- Develop and maintain a network of media contacts, with a specific focus on online media and key influencers
- Refresh and modernize our processes
- Manage Media Relations providers and budget
Issues Management :
- Deploy global crisis communications playbook and suite of scenarios within the organization (Regions, Countries).
- Support issue management and crisis communications at enterprise level and in coordination with the countries and regions in order to protect Sodexo’s reputation
Media Monitoring :
- Management of the media monitoring: daily press review – and weekly Media Report, online monitoring, monthly, and annual reports
- Management of the relationship with media monitoring and digital monitoring providers
- Coordination of KPIs measurement with key markets (France, US, UK) to enable the Communications team to measure the progress of our media relations activity and the resonance of our key strategic messages as well as to capture key learnings for future initiatives.
Global Public Relations Network :
- Manage Public Relations global network for best practice and case study sharing, harmonized statements and protocols, and increased sense of community
- Ongoing coordination of the international Public Relations global network on media relations projects and crisis communications management.

PROFILE :
- 8-10 years' communications experience in large global companies or communication agency
- A “newsy” who follows multiple media – both traditional and digital
- Bilingual: French (essential) and English (strong working knowledge)
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills
- Rigorous regarding deadlines and very organized
- Ability to build a strong internal / external network
- Experience working in an international environment
- Experience managing a network
- Agility and adaptability
- Discreet, able to deal with confidential & sensitive information
- Positive, team player and aligned with Sodexo values and philosophy
