Compiler Engineer

Our client is an innovative RISC-V start up, who are looking for a talented Compiler Engineer to contribute to the development of a compilation back-end designed for specialized RISC-V processor architectures. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of software and hardware, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Design the compiler to enhance hardware execution efficiency while ensuring programmability, with a focus on memory analysis and organization
- Manage hardware constraints such as timing and energy efficiency
- Application placement and routing within custom architectures
- Visualization and debugging tools
- Work with various compilation frameworks to optimize for architectures
- Diagnose and resolve functional and performance issues
- Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code reliability
- Collaborate with the hardware team to address needs and recommend future enhancements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree or equivalent in a related field
- 3+ years of experience with compilation frameworks like GCC, LLVM, or MLIR
- Experience in Linux environments
- Understanding of processor architectures and optimization strategies
- Experience with GIT
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of processor architectures
- Experience in FPGA design, prototyping, and routing/placement algorithms
- Proficiency in Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL is advantageous
