Work closely with various vendors to ensure prompt support and resolution to issues. Oversee the research, evaluation, and integration of new technologies and approaches. Establish, develop, and maintain relations and communications with vendors to better understand how they can help us to move forward.Key Accountabilities/Statement of Work:On-premise and cloud-based virtualization ServicesHardware Infrastructure ManagementNetwork and Security Data Center OperationsHardware and Platform PatchingInfrastructure DR and systems backupsAutomation of systemsMonitoring and incident responseRequired Education, Experience and Competencies:Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent work experienceExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExpertise and Proficiency in VMware ESXi/vSphere with minimum 5 years of experienceExpertise and proficiency in provisioning and administering public cloud solutionsDesired Education, Experience and Competencies:Extensive knowledge of IP networking, Design, IP addressing, DNS (local and Internet), Routing, Switching, VLANs, etc.Experience and competencies in IT Cybersecurity protection and best practices.Experience with public cloud administration and best practice - AWS/AzureExperience with fiber channel and iSCSI Storage Area Networks (e.g., Nimble, Dell EMC) and Hyperconverged infrastructures (e.g., Nutanix).Proven Network/Server Troubleshooting skills in mixed Linux and Windows environment.Minimum 5 years of experience with VMware ESXi/vSphere.Strong Linux skills (e.g., CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, Linux).Strong Windows Servers skills (Windows 2012 or Later)Linux and Windows scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).Ability to manage small projectsExcellent teamwork and people skills, motivated self-starterMinimum of 5 years supporting 24/7 production class data centers
