Role DefinitionJob Purpose:The Piping Handling Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of piping systems and materials handling operations for offshore/subsea oil and gas projects. This role involves the planning and execution of all aspects related to the handling, transportation, and installation of piping components, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Piping Handling & Installation: Oversee the handling, transportation, and installation of subsea and offshore piping systems, ensuring all work complies with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.Design & Engineering Support: Collaborate with design engineers to ensure piping systems are designed with efficient handling solutions in mind. Support the development of installation plans and procedures.Material Management: Manage the procurement, storage, and logistics of piping materials, ensuring optimal inventory control and timely delivery to offshore locations.Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers and other engineering teams to align handling strategies with overall project timelines and budgets.Safety & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all handling procedures and equipment comply with safety regulations and quality standards, minimizing risk during offshore operations.Operational Support: Provide technical support during offshore operations, troubleshooting issues related to the handling and installation of piping components.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of piping handling activities, inventory, and operations. Prepare detailed reports for senior management and project stakeholders.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in piping handling processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase safety.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in piping handling, installation, or project coordination, preferably in offshore or subsea oil and gas operations.Experience with handling and installing a variety of piping materials, including carbon steel, alloy, and flexible pipelines.Familiarity with offshore cranes, lifting equipment, and subsea handling systems.Proficient in E3D software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).Skills & Competencies:Strong understanding of the complexities of offshore oil and gas projects.Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve piping handling issues.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.Proactive in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
