About the Job

• Relocation to Algeria is a prerequisite for this position.
• The Program Buyer supports coordination between the Purchasing function and platform teams (engineering / manufacturing / supply chain) for the development and serial production of vehicles. This includes responsibility of a dedicated perimeter, supporting the purchasing team during supplier selection, managing suppliers, coordinating multidisciplinary teams during project development, carrying out supplier relationships, and ensuring appropriate actions to guarantee observance of contracts. The Program Buyer reports to the Program Purchasing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supplier kick-off after supplier award
• Drive the local supplier readiness and manage the planning of execution
• Control and negotiate the impact of changes during development, with a focus on economic negotiations and timing
• Negotiate potential volume increases during development
• Final Start of Production price release, including project changes notices
• Detect troubled suppliers and potential shortages then follow up with stakeholders to support escalation
• Support Supplier Quality teams to meet capacity and quality convergence targets
• Lead summary meetings with suppliers and key internal stakeholders
• Work with cross functional specialty teams to manage negotiations
• Manage the relationship with KD parts suppliers (PO, capacity, readiness)
• Reporting line to the Program Purchasing Manager and Algeria Purchasing Director
• Management of local Algerian suppliers

Qualifications

• Preferable knowledge of plasturgy and painting technical areas
• Ability to work cross-functionally with different divisions
• Proven experience in automotive purchasing processes
• Strong skills in coordination, leadership, and team facilitation
• High level of autonomy and strong conflict management skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Languages: French is mandatory and fluent professional English
• Location: Algeria (Oran or Algiers)
