**The Role**
The Climate Transition Risk Intern will perform research over two main areas of work: (i) identifying and assessing companies’ GHG emissions, and (ii) assessing their decarbonisation strategies for temperature alignment. The internship will cover training for data collection and analysis of climate data for a duration of 6 months.

**Responsibilities**

The researcher will be responsible for:

- Gathering GHG emissions and emission reduction targets from companies in the MESG universe;
- Estimate the carbon footprint of companies which do not disclose their GHG emissions using a set of estimation methods;
- Explore a company’s direct activities and those linked with its subsidiaries;
- Contributing to qualitative synthesis of a company’s involvements, and input of quantitative indicators to reflect such involvement;
- Deliver the research within the timelines outlined according to MESG processes and quality standards
- Contribute to the production of research pieces derived from screening lines and on associated bespoke demands

These missions are not exhaustive and can be scalable.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in, or have recently completed completed graduate studies in a related discipline (sustainability, climate, environmental sciences, environmental economics, energy, etc)
- Experience with technical document research and information organization
- Understanding of and strong interest in sustainability / climate issues
- Collection and manipulation of quantitative and qualitative data
- Analytical, synthesis and composition skills
- Good mastery of written and spoken English
- Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PPT) with proven ability to manage large datasets in Excel
- Organisation, rigour and method
- Team spirit, communication, and good listening skills
- Ability to work autonomously, under the supervision and support of a team

Ability to balance operational expectations with quality (time management).
