BD Pharm System provides industry-leading needle technologies, prefillable syringes, safety and shielding systems, and self-injection systems for pharmaceutical and biotech companies across the globe.

**Mission**

The Market Research Leader is a member of the Strategic Business Insights team (SBI) within the Global Marketing Department of BD Medical Pharmaceutical Systems, headquartered in Grenoble, France.

The Strategic Business Insights Team is a center of excellence for insight generation, which drives the business to better understand market trends, customer needs, competition moves and company performance, and empowers better informed strategies and tactics for a greater business impact.

The Market Research Leader is responsible for conducting and organizing qualitative and quantitative market studies for the BD Medical Pharmaceutical Systems division, in order to frame likely areas of innovation, and influence business decisions at short, mid and long term. This role includes the coordination of global market research projects from initiation phase to the final audience communication/recommendation. He/She will work very closely with the product marketing team, the innovation team, the regional marketing teams across the globe, the business directors and other members of the SBI team. The scope of his/her activities includes the close connection with internal stakeholders to identify topics to investigate, the creation of an appropriate briefing and objectives of the study, the assessment of relevant vendors/agencies, the follow up of the research, and the communication of the conclusion to the top management of the BD Medical Pharmaceutical Systems division.
- This position handles sensitive, strategic projects and information which requires a high degree of confidentiality, integrity and collaboration._

**Profile**

**Education**:

- Business Administration, Economics or Statistics degree
- Medical or scientific background is a plus

**Professional experience**
- 7 to 10 year experience in Market Research in a pharmaceutical company or as a consultant in an agency for the healthcare industry

**Skills**
- Superior analytical skills and ability to turn analysis into insight and strategy recommendation
- Demonstrated mastery designing, conducting and evaluating primary and secondary research in order to drive fact-based and data driven insights using multiple research and analytic techniques
- Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand complex issues with incomplete information
- Ability to synthetize and extract key take-aways, while performing deep dive analyses and go into details.
- Fast and nimble, able to quickly process high quantity of information
- Good communication skills, both oral and written, including presentation
- Track record of success in providing analysis, strategic direction and specific business recommendations to senior management
- Fluency in English
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Experience of external consultant management
- Experience working in international setting and multicultural team
- Ability to think strategically
- Strong results orientation
- Thrives in environment of ambiguity
- Ability to influence without authority across functions and grade levels
