UX Designer

Sinay helps maritime stakeholders to conciliate business efficiency with ocean sustainability.

We have developed the Sinay Hub, a unique software that gathers and analyzes maritime data with Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. We can plug any type of IoT sensors, data sources, and deploy large data collection network at sea with our 15-year field expertise. This enables us to provide environment and logistic predictions to offshore construction, supply chain and marine resources industries.

Using our Sinay Hub and hands-on experience, maritime companies have access to powerful information to manage their operations efficiently and reduce their impact on ocean biodiversity.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

You will join our product development team. Your main task will be to understand customers’ needs, express them through features and design wireframes that attracts and retains customers.

More specifically, you will be in charge of:

- Understand Sinay’s products to frame user experience, investigate competitors and best practices in the sector.
- Analyze expectations and needs of customers using research, data analytics tools, co-construction approaches,
- Contribute to user research (creating interview guides, conducting interviews and extracting insightful data).
- Organize and lead workshops with customers to find the best solutions.
- Support the branding and visual identity of the projects through the creation of high-quality design mockups.
- Create functional patterns (zoning, wireframes, prototypes).
- Conduct iterative user tests (R=A/B test, eyetracking, focus group) to aim for continuous improvement.
- Work in short and iterative development cycles.
- Collaborate with all the team members (technical and non-technical) to build the product our customers long for.
- Build a design system (library of reusable and branding consistent UI components).

**SKILLS**

What we are looking for:

- 2-3 years of experience in UX Design.
- At ease in user-centered design, from user research to prototyping.
- Excellent ability to communicate with customers and active listening skills.
- Strong critical eye with analytical skills to provide the best solutions for the customers’ needs.
- Knowledge of web product design.
- Knowledge of design software such as Figma, Adobe XD and prototyping tools.
- Previous practice of the Agile methodology (Jira) and knowledge of Lean UX.
- Excellent time-management skills and commitment to meet deadlines.
- Fluent spoken/written French and English.
- Positive team player, very comfortable with close Designer-Developer collaboration and knowledge of Javascript.
