**Senior Accountant (M/F/d)**

**Job Summary**
This is a senior accounting, 1st management level position which includes a team lead of at least

one accountant. The Senior Accountant is financially fully responsible for several entities in the

company.

The ratio of the daily work this position is covering is:

- 60% accounting work in all areas (AP, AR, GL)
- 5% payroll for all employees of the respective entities
- 15% month-end duties & reporting
- 20% general tasks & enquiries

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Day-to-day accounting, including but not limited to:

- Invoices (incoming and outgoing);
- Banking (Cash Forecasting, Reconciliations, Liquidity management, Payments);
- General Ledger;
- Fixed Assets;
- Allowances;
- Cash Management at Events.
- Payroll review, payroll journals, payroll audits.
- Monthly financial statements under US GAAP; including correcting journal entries,

building, and releasing accruals, and account analysis. Monthly profitability forecasting.
- Year-end closing under statutory US GAAP including bridging to IFRS, filing annual

financial statements, work with auditors according to local regulations.
- Preparation and management for local audit under IFRS.
- Work with the EMEA CFO and Headquarters’ Finance and Accounting team in Germany,

South Africa and in the US on all accounting issues.
- Planning and budgeting, integrated financial planning, management, and performance

reporting & Forecasting.
- Filing of VAT & EMP 201 reports, working with tax authorities and auditors.
- Preparation and review of month end reconciliations.

**Skills and competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in accounting/ auditing/ financial management

and knowledge of how to manage a team.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Diligent about working with international colleagues at all levels and adhering to a

corporate management structure.
- Deadline driven.
- Solid understanding of intercompany transactions
- Ability to interpret and question financial information easily.
- Adaptive to change.
- Ability to manage diversity in job responsibilities with precision and accuracy in work.
- Ability to manage and work within a team format.
- Must be hands on, able to multi-task and show proper level of time management.
- Experience in Navision accounting software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local taxation laws.
- Extremely comfortable with repetitive tasks and adhering to international systems.
- Fluent in English.
