**Job Purpose**
- The Manager of Leasing’s primary focus is to develop new locomotive leasing customers and manage the relationship between these customers and Progress Rail Leasing Corporation (PRLC). The position requires an ability to identify customer needs from a variety of different industries and then deliver solutions that exceed our customer’s expectations. Once customer needs are identified, the position will require significant negotiation skills and the ability to work within Legal Documents to bring the solution to reality.**Req ID**

- Day to day relationship management of Leasing customers throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada;
- Uncovering Leasing and Locomotive acquisition opportunities through new and existing customers;
- Develop relationships with new customers seeking new leasing opportunities;
- Negotiation of Leasing opportunities including pricing, legal contracts, and coordination of delivery and repair requirements;
- Construction of financial models to determine that new Leasing opportunities meet internal financial requirements;
- An ability to work with cross functional teams including Accounting, Legal, and Mechanical personnel;
- An ability to cold call new customers, travel extensively to meet with new and existing customers, and attend various conferences to develop new contacts.
**Education / Training**
- The applicant must have a degree from an accredited University. MBA preferred.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Five years of previous experience within the Railroad industry, which should include a fundamental in-depth knowledge of Locomotives;
- The position requires travel around the United States. 25-40% travel is expected;
- The applicant must have a background in emission laws and willing to stay abreast of any changing regulations to ensure fleet is compliant;
- The applicant must be self-motivated and willing to work on their own. The applicant must be a results driven person with a particular focus on Customer Service;
- High Level of computer aptitude is a requirement. Excel, Word, and Powerpoint proficiency is required;
- Significant understanding of Debt financing, Leverage, and Financial Analysis is required. Ability to work within complex financial models to determine solutions is necessary;
- A willingness to Network and develop relationships within the Railroad industry is paramount to success in this position;
- The applicant must have the ability to work within legal documents and with our legal team in a supportive fashion;
- Experience working with both Customer Service and Sales departments;
- Thorough knowledge of the various locomotive types and a solid rolodex of already established contacts;
- Strong management experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems (Excel, Word and Power point).
