Mackenzie Stuart is currently partnered with a leading provider of testing, inspection, and certification services. They are actively seeking an experienced Food Lead Auditor to join our team. As the Lead Auditor, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting food safety audits and assessments of suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing food safety policies and procedures, as well as training and mentoring junior auditors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct food safety audits and assessments of suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement food safety policies and procedures.
- Train and mentor junior auditors.
- Evaluate food safety risks and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop audit reports and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Provide guidance and support to clients on food safety issues.
- Keep up-to-date with food safety regulations and standards.
- Provide technical expertise to clients and internal teams.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in food safety auditing.
- Certification as a Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 22000, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, SQF).
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
