**Short description**:
We are looking for a Solution Engineer in the area of Lyon, France, to reinforce our Materials/ICME technical engineering team in a business unit formerly known as e-Xstream engineering.
As Solution Engineer, you will help us develop our additive technologies and grow our business. You will be highly involved in activities related to the use of Digimat’s technology for the modeling of additive manufacturing plastic materials & parts.
If you are dynamic, talented and enjoy the fields of CAE, materials and additive manufacturing,
join our team of experts in computational mechanics and materials, develop multi-disciplinary skills around materials and advanced nonlinear FE modeling, and help us make an impact in the additive business

**Tasks in detail**:

- Coordinate & participate to the execution of a broad French national project (FAMOUS) focused on the development and enhancement of plastic AM modeling technologies.
- Execute consulting projects:

- Elaborate new modeling methods.
- Elaborate and coordinate test campaigns, analyze test data and calibrate material cards.
- Perform CAE studies, assist in designing and validating AM plastic parts.
- Perform presales activities: Deliver technical presentations to prospects, deliver trainings, attend conferences
- Participate to AM incubation projects, contribute to the innovation, growth, and success of the Materials BU.
All of this, using state-of-the-art material data management platform MaterialCenter (MC) and the nonlinear multi-scale material and structure modeling platform Digimat, along with the expertise of our engineering services team.

**Requirements**:

- Material or Mechanical Engineering degree (or higher) with 2-3 years of industry experience in the field of Additive.
- Strong background in additive manufacturing.
- Knowledge of finite elements and experienced with preparing and solving nonlinear FEA.
- Think out-of-the-box attitude, smart & agile, ability to bounce back and be force of proposition.
- Fluent in French and strong communication skills in English.
- Availability to travel 10% of the time, mainly within France, but also occasional international travel.

**Nice to have**:

- Strong communication skills in German.
