A natural leader, you have experience in procurement in a relevant industry. You know how to build successful procurement strategies and put in place the vision provided by the strategic teams. You are a strategic thinker able to envision the market and see the big picture, but above all, you enjoy developing procurement programs and delivering impactful procurement services.
**What you'll be doing**:
- Provide strategic procurement services to support our business operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with industry trends and business objectives.
- Lead and manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes and achieve cost savings.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies relevant to procurement.
- Lead and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
**Must-haves**:
- An experienced professional with a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management within the event industry.
- Solid experience in strategic procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
- Fluency in spoken and written English (No scrambled oeufs at Egg, please.)
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement projects and deliver results.
- Data-driven, budget-conscious, creative problem solver.
- An excellent presenter with experience communicating with and presenting to executive stakeholders, customers, and partners.
**Nice-to-haves**:
- Fluency in other languages (in addition to English).
- Experience managing a team
- Excellent knowledge of procurement software and systems.
- Proven track record of implementing sustainable procurement practices.
- Experience in managing procurement for global operations.
- Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
