The procurement manager supervises procurement activities and teams, both internal and external, overseeing the procurement plan to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, timeliness, safety, and environmental considerations.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- You serve as the primary contact for department managers regarding procurement procedures and projects, from planning to operations supervision.
- Drive the implementation and enhancement of processes and tools within your scope.
- Participate in purchase projects with your manager.
- Analyze sourcing markets, develop market expertise, and contribute to sourcing strategies for innovation and cost savings.
- Manage the fleet of national companies, ensuring optimization and follow-up.
- Lead a team of 2 Purchase Coordinators and 3 storekeepers, reporting to the Head of Purchase & Logistics Belux.
We seek an individual with:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Procurement/Supply Chain.
- Previous experience in people management and team coaching.
- Fluency in English, Dutch, or French, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- A proactive, driven, and results-oriented approach.
