**Application Engineer - Technical Specialist - Rotating Electric Machines**

**Job Summary**:
Altair HyperWorksTM suite is the most used in the world in the CAE domain. Based on automatization of process, managing data, optimizing the design, HyperWorks is a suite of tools for modeling design, and rapid decision making for designing products.
Within the HyperWorks suite, Altair FluxMotorTM is a flexible open software tool dedicated to the pre-design of rotating electric machines. It enables the user to build a machine and to evaluate its performance. Based on modern technology, the standalone platform offers fast and accurate computations.
FluxMotor is used in all industrial fields where electric motors and generators are designed and integrated. It is present in the transport sector, in particular to support the transformation of the major automotive brands towards electric traction.
**Given the success of FluxMotor, Altair France is currently looking for an Application Engineer - Technical Specialist - Rotating Electric Machines (M/F).**
**What You Will Do**:
- Implement processes to design and to compute the performance of rotating electric machines
- Technology watch and bibliographic research to make the list of possible solutions
- Production of prototypes to illustrate and to validate the selected solution
- Writing of the specification to allow developer engineers integrating the process into the software
- Participate to the quality assurance process of the software
- Description of user test cases
- Implementation of tests to validate the compliance with the specification requirements
- Contribute to write FluxMotor User's Guide
- Participate to the building of the road map for the future versions
- Promote the usage of our software (conferences, technical papers)
**What You Will Need**:
**Basics**:
- You have a degree of electrical engineer
- 5+ years of experience in R&D or engineering office
- A very strong knowledge of rotating electric machines (modeling and/or design, manufacture)
- Experience in the usage of finite element software (ideally Altair FluxTM)
- Good knowledge in machine drive and control and thermal modeling
- Autonomous, dynamic, ability to innovate and propose the right solutions
- Fluent French and a good technical English level is required (written and spoken)
- Very good communicating skills (written and spoken)
**Preferred**:
- Knowledge in NVH would be a plus
