Manages Customers based in a specific geography in France with the purpose to achieve targeted sales objectives and profits, as well as develop profitable business with new and existing Customers. Supports Customers’ business needs and business strategies, establishing solid relationships with SHW Management.
The BD Tech Svcs Rep. will provide also proper technical direction and assistance to Customers in a specific geography in France for multiple coatings technologies and will act as a back-up in France for powder.
RESPONSIBILITIES
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Together with the regional sales organizations, identify and prioritize a pipeline of new business across all technologies that delivers on our financial objectives over the planning period.
- Drive the sales efforts to successful conclusion in a timely manner. This will include both personal ownership of some key opportunities and support/leadership of the regional sales teams that are in the lead position.
- Together with segment and product management, drive specification and approval of Sherwin-Williams products to enable sales execution.
**POSITION CHALLENGES**
- Effectively interface with the Area Sales Manager and the country Sales Force.
- Ensures Customers quality and expectations are consistently met; eliminates or reduces Customers’ complaints.
- Ensure regional Sales targets and goals are achieved within the given timeline**.**
**DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY**
- Limited authority for prices, new customer/distributor account opening.
- Can take independent decisions on trials, samples.
QUALIFICATIONS
**Preferred**: Chemist, Engineering or Paint Technology university Degree.
**Knowledge & Experience**:
**Required**: previous Sales/Accounts Management experience, Paint or chemical experience.
**Preferred**:
- Proven track record in generating opportunities and closing new business.
- Proven track record establishing robust pricing strategies that meet market needs and optimize product margins and profitability.
**Technical/skill Requirements**:
- Creativity and accountability.
- Organizational skills to properly address/escalate issues and achieve results.
- Comfortable to operate within a multi-national, multi-cultural, matrix and fast-growing organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to set priorities and perform under stress.
- Strong attention to details and accuracy when creating, reviewing, and analysing information for the business.
- Good command of English language.
**Travel Requirements (time spent away from home or other typical office location)**: 75%
