**SR DIRECTOR - STRATEGY SOLUTIONS, EMC**

**We are looking to fill this role in US, Canada, UK or EU & are **flexible to fully remote work**

**Position Overview**:
In this role for our Evidence Synthesis, Modeling & Communications (EMC) team, you will be working closely with colleagues who specialize in health economics, systematic literature reviews, network meta-analyses, statistics, the development of value propositions, value dossiers, and HTA submissions to support our biopharmaceutical clients. You are expected to have a good working knowledge of all these areas and their role and value in market access for new clinical therapies and/or medical devices.

As part of the Strategy Solutions team within EMC, you will also work closely with business development (BD) colleagues and other practice areas to identify and develop opportunities with potential clients likely to require EMC services. This includes developing and leading both broad and, where needed, targeted capability presentations related to elements of EMC work for biopharma and biotech clients designed to generate requests for proposals (RFPs). You will then write the proposals and win new projects that contribute towards EMC’s annual sales targets. This requires an in-depth understanding of client requirements and EMC services, and ability to develop bespoke solutions and provide strategic advice for clients to support their wider objectives.

For awarded opportunities, you will oversee these projects either as the principal investigator or scientist advisor, ensuring they are efficiently run, achieve target revenue and gross profit, and lead to follow-on work. This will also include team leadership and staff development.

As a senior member of our fast-growing, successful and innovative team, you will also be expected to influence our science, lead and advise on research, and provide strategic advice on how best to address research needs for EMC and Evidera, both now and in the future.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)**:
**Financial & Business Development**
- Build and maintain new and existing client relationships that support EMC
- Generate RFPs in collaboration with potential clients
- Develop and defend proposals to ensure sufficient sales to meet individual and group performance targets

**Science**
- Conceptualize, design, and lead studies of high scientific quality in line with clients’ objectives, presenting scientific work in peer-reviewed journals and at professional meetings
- Provide scientific leadership to team members, and contribute to the development of new products and innovative methodologies

**Project Leadership**
- Hands-on leadership of projects allocated according to availability, client familiarity or history, and disease area knowledge, with overall responsibility for successful project delivery (quality, timeliness, client satisfaction, and financial performance)
- Have final responsibility for project budgets, deliverables, and timelines; identify scope expansion and need for amendments
- Occasional domestic and international travel, per project and client needs

**Operations Support**
- Participate in staff recruitment efforts
- Conform to SOPs and other requirements

**Essential Skills and Experience**
- Very strong experience in agency or consultancy environment in HEOR or market access role
- Strong analytical skills with deep understanding of research principles, relevant methodology and practical research implementation
- Demonstrated experience in:

- Design and implementation of cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses using mathematical modeling
- Systematic and targeted literature review (SLR) methods in health economics and/or health services research.
- Development of payer value propositions and value dossiers
- HTA processes and reimbursement submissions (e.g. CADTH, iQWIG, NICE, SMC, PBAC)
- In-depth understanding of all services required for successful launch and ability to recognise when referrals to other practice areas are needed
- Experienced project leader with the ability to:

- Align deliverables with a client’s strategic objectives
- Manage projects, budgets and timeline
- Work across different therapy areas
- Direct a large portfolio of projects
- Excellent ability to develop and refine proposals, including budgets, in close partnership with the client
- Experience in using MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

**Education, Professional Skills & Experience**:
PhD in health sciences, (health-)economics, biology, natural sciences or a related field with extensive relevant experience (12+ years); MSc. with extensive relevant experience (15+ years).

**Personal Skills & Competencies**:

- Ability to communicate effectively and to develop positive, collegial, and productive relationships with peers, senior managers and clients
