The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit, medical society. It is an independent, non-governmental organisation.

The ESC coordinates observational registries, creates clinical practice guidelines, and organises and endorses educational programmes. We disseminate robust and independent science through our congresses, journals and educational digital tools. We’re the voice of the cardiology community when advocating for heart-health policies, regulations and funding.

All of these things enable us to identify cardiovascular trends, address inequalities, share best practices to improve standards of care for patients

The ESC employs +220 staff, based in Nice and Brussels, who support ESC volunteers in the development and management of these activities.

The ESC is currently looking for a **Scientific Documents Coordinator **for a permanent contract, CDI, as soon as possible to work at its headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France.

**Major duties and responsibilities**:
Coordination and editor for ESC documents development from start and beyond publication. Operational and editorial support to writing groups following high-quality standards. Attention to details and anticipation of delay for timely delivery of publications

In details:

- To manage, coordinate the writing, and edit ESC scientific documents from start to publication in scientific journals of the ESC familyBackup the team for Registration delivery when needed, in order to maintain service levels during busy periods or during staff absences.
- To become the primary contact of writing groups and provide them with a sustained operational and editorial support.
- To ensure a seamless coordination with other teams for effective dissemination of information
- To contribute to processes improvements by considering innovating approaches and tools

**Profile**:

- Hard skills:_
- Bachelor or higher degree in Education in scientific field is preferred, with project management
- At least 5 years experience in scientific publications and project management
- Familiarity with scientific document development process (phases and retro-planning)
- Familiarity with scientific publishing standards, ethics, and best practice
- Knowledge of ICMJE criteria and other publications standards is required
- Adherence to all applicable SOPs, policies, processes, & compliance guidelines.
- Document editing and quality control
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English) required
- Excellent practice of pack office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Knowledge of reference management software is an asset
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign is a plus
- Soft skills:_
- Excellent problem-solving ability and strong attention to details
- Ability to deal effectively with deadlines and time pressures and to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to interact effectively and respectfully with all levels of staff and volunteers

**Conditions**:
