Software engineer

**Location**:Venissieux, FR, 69200**Position Type**:Professional- Chapters are an integral part of the Digital Delivery function of Volvo Group Digital & IT's. Our collective expertise spans various domains, including Mainframe,.Net, Java, IBMi, Mobile/XR, Quality Assurance, System Analysis, Agile methodologies, and multiple platforms. - Experience with debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning of mainframe systems to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging mainframe technologies, tools, and trends, and recommending their integration into existing systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mainframe systems with other IT infrastructure components.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and provide training and support to other colleagues on mainframe technologies, tools, and best practices.

**Who are you?**
- 3 to 5 yeas of experience in mainframe programming languages and tools (e.g., COBOL, JCL, VSAM, ISPF, SDSF, MQ, IMS DB/DC, OPCE or relevant languages.)
- Knowledge of mainframe databases and data management systems, such as DB2, Assembler,CICS.
- Proactively upskilling and reskilling according to present and future requirements.
- Professional certifications in mainframe technologies (e.g., IBM ) are a plus.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
- Experience in modernizing the legacy mainframe environment, utilizing relevant tools and techniques in the mainframe domain.
- Fluent in English
