**Profile**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing/Communication or PR Relations
- 5 to 10 years of experience.
- Location: Nantes (France) or remote.
- Languages: French and English (native in one of the languages)

Reports To: Chief Product Officer

Location: Nantes office or remote (France), with at least one trip to the main office per month.

**Overview and Missions**

MicroEJ is a software publishing company for the embedded electronics market. After 10 years of operation and two rounds of fundraising in Deep Tech, our flagship product MicroEJ VEE is often seen as the Android equivalent for devices other than smartphones and tablets and is already used in 250 million products.

We are currently a team of 70 people driven by a passion for innovation and a strong team spirit. The company is experiencing significant commercial growth and, based on initial successes with major clients worldwide (USA, Europe, and Asia), we aim to develop and strengthen our brand; including our employer brand to support our organic growth.

With a background in marketing / communication / PR relations, you are passionate about technological products with a strong software and electronics component in markets such as appliances, home automation, wearable technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), or energy. In collaboration with our sales, product marketing, and the other marketing team members, you define communication strategies, particularly on the web and appropriate social networks, build a strong media contact database and construct messages to: affirm our positioning; disseminate the company's offerings; increase its visibility and reputation; and attract new customers while retaining existing ones.

**Activities & Responsibilities**

Your focus will be on communication and public relations. You will manage press relationships, driving communication with analysts, influencers, and journalists to expand our media coverage. You will collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to define and create editorial content that resonates with this audience, promoting our company's values and positioning our brand globally.

Additionally, you will create media kits and create and distribute content effectively across various media and channels. You will establish and maintain our database of journalists, analysts, and influencers to efficiently follow up on interview or contributed content opportunities.

Your goal is to increase our presence and brand recognition along 3 tiers of press:

- The technical press
- The vertical (industry-specific) press
- The general technology press like TechCrunch, Venturebeat, Engadget, CNET, Business Insider, Gizmodo, The Verge, Wired, Arstechnica. Etc.

You provide management with compelling stories and strategic direction to garner more attention from the media.

**Required Skills**:

- Work experience in an English-speaking country is strongly appreciated

This job offer requires some overseas travel, for example, to CES, Distributech, and Embedded World (between 3 and 5 events per year).
