**About Us**:
From Functional Art to Collectible Design, today Carpenters Workshop Gallery produces and exhibits functional sculptures by international rising and established artists or designers going outside their traditional territories of expression. Actively involved in the research and production of limited edition works, the gallery’s choices are guided by seeking an emotional, artistic and historical relevance and breaking boundaries between art and design.

The gallery relies on the partnership of childhood friends, Julien Lombrail and Loïc le Gaillard. They first opened a space in London’s Chelsea in 2006 in a former carpenter’s workshop ; they now operate three galleries globally in London, Paris, New York and Los Angeles.

In 2015, the gallery opened The Workshop in Mitry-Mory, a unique 8,000 squares meters space dedicated to artistic research bringing together the elite of artisans. Today, Carpenters Workshop Gallery is recognized as a leading gallery for contemporary collectible design.

**Job description**:
Your main role will be to provide administrative, logístical, and organizational support to the Sales Associates along with handling client-facing situations on a day-to-day basis.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in the commercial elements of the gallery throughout the sales process and liaising with clients and artists where appropriate.

You will provide all encompassing aspects of support to the Sales Associates, including but not limited to invoicing, travel, new client research, database maintenance, presentations, special project management, shipping, managing the sample inventory library, and client installations.

The position is five days per week (Tuesday-Saturday), 10am to 7pm, with additional hours as needed for events and work-related tasks.

**Key skills required**:

- Ability to work under pressure and without supervision
- Flexibility and ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- High level of literacy and numeracy skills
- Confident in all Office programs and IT literate
- Basic knowledge of Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Interest in sales and commercial elements of the gallery
- Preliminary understanding of the commercial art world and auction house market.
- Quick problem-solving abilities in high pressure situations
- Have a genuine passion for the arts and interest to gain experience within a gallery Workplace

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Art history or related field, preferred
- Minimum of 1 year work experience
- Knowledge of ArtLogic software is a strong plus
- French and English mandatory, other language is a plus
- Eligibility to work in France
