European Accounting

**What you do**
You will report to the Hub Team Lead as a member of the Accounting & Reporting Hub,and as the Hub Senior Specialist you will be in charge of the timely execution and control of all accounting processes in the region by maintaining a close and effective collaboration between the three predominant accounting locations: Local BU - Hub - Finance Shared Services.

**Your responsibilities include**
- Running the monthly, quarterly and annual group reporting requirements according to IFRS principles
- Delivering the treasury tasks on behalf of the BU and facilitate the collaboration with the Global Corporate Finance & Investment function
- Monitoring and supporting local teams in the annual planning, timely performance and follow-up of all general accounting & tax responsibilities including the coordination of internal and external auditors
- Suppervising the overview on billing and collection activities incl. intercompany transactions that are performed locally and in the FSS; and supports BU’s in the receivable management
- Conducting an effective monitoring and control sign-off as to Group standards of all Accounting & reporting duties & responsibilities amongst the concerned team locations
- Contributing as a functional SME in a selected range of the defined Allianz Partners Accounting & reporting master processes including the periodic review and maintenance of respective SOP’s
- Developing and implementing process improvements: identifying pain points and blockers, defineing and implementing remediation plans, supportinging the Accounting & reporting Leadership in the general steering and monitoring of financial results, risk assessments, project implementation, budget process, performance follow-up, etc.
- Facilitateing knowledge transfer across the accounting community, and acting as a business partner to the Finance teams (SSC, Central, Local entities) to establish best in class accounting processes in the Shared Service Center and entities in scope

**What you bring**
- Demonstrated experience in an international large group reporting environment, ideally IFRS
- Strong accounting knowledge, sound understanding of the A&R master processes
- Good SAP/GRP knowledge and general affinity to IT tools in finance context (purchasing, cash management, B/S reconciliations etc.)
- Fluent in English, any other language is a plus, strong coordination and good communication skills, strong decision making / solution focused
- Ability to work in remote teams
