ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Content Programming Lead will conduct research and help advise the Audible Germany team on the formulation of Audible’s content strategy for French listeners to ensure a fully localized and authentic audio experience with deep cultural relevance. The role reports into the Country Manager, France.

You have a deep understanding of local customer needs and content preferences and will be their voice in the company, making sure their needs in terms of content are fulfilled. You are passionate about great stories, are able to identify key trends in storytelling, and have a strong sense of distinguishing short-term content fads from lasting consumer demand. As a Content Programming Lead, you will...
- Support and inform the local content strategy owned by Audible Germany together with the local, regional and global content teams to ensure Audible’s French service is an authentic local audio experience with deep cultural relevance elevated by the strongest selection of Exclusive and Original content in the local language, created and narrated by the local creative class.
- Develop a deep knowledge of the local culture and creative class to ensure the most distinctive content catalogue that helps Audible Germany achieve the key business objectives (brand awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, LTV and retention) as well as a strong differentiation vs. our competitors.
- Support all content investment decisions made by Audible leadership in Germany through data, provide accurate recommendations for the content strategy owned by Audible Germany based on data analysis, cost control (COGS) and incremental glance views.
- Work closely with the Country Manager, France and Marketing Program Management Lead, to help inform and support the Audible Germany leadership team to develop a holistic plan for the most attractive spoken-word consumer proposition for listeners in France.
- Support the DE based Content acquisition teams by leveraging deep local network to build, extend or maintain relationships with the actors of the local industry (publishing, literary agencies..) by making introductions.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in defining and executing content strategies including relevant years in leadership roles or strategic advisor capacities.
- Experience managing, analyzing and presenting results to executive leaders and a variety of internal and external audiences.
- Business fluency in written and verbal English and French language, additional European languages are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional persuasive written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- You have the capacity to identify groundbreaking new Original and Premium Podcast content, aimed at growing awareness, acquire and habituate new customers and, crucially, build a high-value reputation in the local creative class, while offering a balanced mix between highly-relevant local Originals and global IPs to maintain distinction from the competition.
