**Job Description**:
Partnerships are at the heart of Deezer’s DNA and are one of the main drivers of our growth. Deezer has an ambitious strategic plan to implement a partnership-first strategy to grow in key attractive markets.

We are looking for a Business Development Director to join our team. You will have the key responsibility of building strategic relationships, execute and close large partnership opportunities with key players globally, achieving Deezer music streaming growth and subscriber acquisition, focusing on a wide range of partner sectors: Media & Technology, Telecommunications, Automotive, Hardware, Digital Retail, Travel & Hospitality, Gaming, etc.

**What you will do**:

- You will regularly interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders, often up to C-level, excluding lower level managers. These interactions usually involve understanding, supporting and convincing others to take action.
- Lead & drive client pipeline from origination to deal execution: identify, pitch and execute strategic partner opportunities globally and in Europe.
- Qualify effectively all the potential prospects and lead strategic deal evaluation, project shaping, hands-on business modelling and revenue forecasting.
- Maintain and document pipeline with team’s tools and benchmark against similar deals in other regions.
- Manage complex contract negotiations with partners and all key stakeholders involved with or affected by B2B projects.
- Support and follow-up deal progress across Deezer cross-functional teams (such as Finance, Labels relations, Product, Tech, Legal), by developing business cases, articulating opportunities and clarifying resource requirements.
- Work closely with partner solutions, product, account management, and B2B marketing to ensure partnership deals are executed to their maximum potential.
- Embody Deezer’s core values in your market scope, be an ambassador for our global team.

**Qualifications**:
This role is excellent for a person with:

- 8+ years’ experience in business development or partnerships in similar roles and related to the following sectors: digital subscription services, digital retail, gaming, media, VAS for telecommunications - with an existing network of contacts.
- Proven track record of drafting, negotiating, and closing term sheets and complex contracts with large companies and exceeding business goals.
- Demonstrated deal-making skills: negotiation and communication abilities to influence outcomes externally and internally.
- Strong understanding of B2B and distribution partnerships dynamics, ideally for subscription-based, premium services.
- High-level of autonomy, self-organisation and prioritisation abilities
- Analytical and collaborative mindset, comfortable working closely with others as a team despite not being in the same office / home working settings.
