Business Strategy and Product Director

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a **Business Strategy and Product Director **to develop the Aerospace and Automotive product lines strategy, in line with meeting the facility objectives; and to develop the annual booking forecast, in conjunction with Sales and Operations. The **Business Strategy and Product Director **is responsible for product pricing and insuring that quotes are issued in a timely manner; will be the focal point for capturing and communicating competitive and market information; and will develop and present product training to internal and external customers. The **Business Strategy and Product Director **will also support new product development activities. This key position is located at the HFS plant in St Cosme en Vairais, France.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manages Marketing strategy in order to increase HFS site visibility, facilitate the capture of new customers/market shares and stimulate customer satisfaction.
- Identifies growth opportunities and definition of development orientations.
- Develops the annual facility booking forecasts in coordination with Sales and Operations.
- Meets or exceeds the budgeted facility booking, booking margin, and backlog margin objectives.
- Responsible for maximizing facility margins.
- Manages a Team of Product Managers and Inside Sales
- Responsible for developing LTA strategies in conjunction with Sales and Operations.
- Prepare yearly Sales Plan in coordination with Operations and Sales. Insures that the applicable Growth Revenue Bridges are kept current (Updated annually) and are communicated to Operations.
- Captures, documents, and maintains all facility LTA’s.
- Works with cross-functional departments (Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement).
- Insures that daily quotes as well as LTA’s are completed in a timely manner.
- Coordinates the sale of E & O and Dormant inventory.
- Take part in various audits (EN9100 & IATF16949). Create and update relevant KPIs to follow Aerospace and Automotive activities and implement corrective actions plan if needed.
- Determines applicable expedite charges associated with shipping product ahead of standard delivery schedules and with product cancellations.
- Insures that all daily, monthly, and other requested reports are run, evaluated, distributed, and acted upon to achieve the facility booking and margin objectives.
- Perform market analysis as deemed necessary or that is requested, to aid in decision making relating to the entering and/or exiting of markets, identifying market opportunities, product transfers, pricing decisions, lead-time evaluation, etc.
- Responsible for performing contract reviews and order entry according to ASAT rules. Create procedures and perform controls to guarantee ASAT compliance (price changes,).
- Coordinate customer facility visits, in conjunction with Sales and Operations, and participate as applicable.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Finance, or Marketing, from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of Product Management, Business Development Management (customer-facing experience is a plus)
- Experience in Aerospace and/or Automotive industry is strongly preferred
- Experience with Sales Analytics or Marketing/Pricing Analytics (including proficiency with Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
**Skills**
- Excellent communication skills, strong financial acumen are preferred skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects (multitask) involving complex processes, significant budget, competing deadlines and rapidly shifting priorities in a compliant manner
- Fluent English for this position with an international dimension
- Strong customer-orientation
- Proven ability to build and develop strong partnerships across functions
- Executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Ability to work under pressure, to take accountability for business challenges, think strategically and tackle complex problems
