YOUR ROLE
This function has 4 main purposes:
- Support CEVA Ground & Rail Last Mile and LTL Network activities (extra focus in US & Europe) in identifying process improvement, operational optimization or added Customer generated value opportunities (ie: Customer services), through for instance: improved process execution, new or updated technological tools/capabilities (driver app, TMS, ), or changes in organization / methodologies
- Deploy, along the local business units and IT functions, global or local operational & IT projects aiming to improve productivity / quality or performance monitoring for Last Mile & LTL Network activities.
- Be referent, identify, and share all type of operational, organization & IT best-practices and best-in class valuable processes that could be deployed within CEVA Last Mile / LTL operations
- Audit & support local business units action plans definition to improve Last Mile operational performance
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Identify & Share best in class Last Mile / LTL processes, Support deployment of new processes locally
- Identify TMS & IT Tools capabilities to develop for improved operational performance, customer quality and/or pricing & procurement streamlining
- Support TMS & IT tools deployment in Last Mile & LTL Network activities
- Monitor IT & new processes projects deployment, assess before and monitor associated ROI
- Support LTL specific organizational changes to better support quality or Customer services
- Audit site performance & support local and global business action plans definition and compliance follow-up
- Support Last Mile & LTL operation in monitoring their performance, prioritizing KPIs development along with the responsible functions
- Market Technology watch: Assess & identify breakthrough technology for LM operational improvements
- Support CEVA Lean Culture deployment, along the local & Global responsible & stakeholders, in Last Mile day-to-day operations
- Support, along with local business new LTL & Last Mile sites deployment if required
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operational management or equivalent business-related field, and 5+ years of related professional experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of related professional experience in mentioned fields
- Min. 2 years’ experience in operations or Project management related to transport operations (LTL or Last Mile).
- Experience in deploying Projects related to process improvements and IT developments
- Very good knowledge of Last Mile & LTL Network Transport operations
- Knowledge and experience with process engineering and improvement methodologies
- IT management skills in the field of project management, process design dedicated to transport operations
- Experience with TMS evolutions process
- Change management knowledge & experience
- Good analytics capabilities & problem-solving skills.
- Excellent Planning & organization skills
- Leadership skills and ability to motivate and provide visions to individuals and teams
**Desirable**
- BA/BS or master’s in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operational management with 5+ years of related professional experience
- Continuous improvement / LEAN six sigma experience or certifications
- Good financial
- controlling understanding
- Experience working on different kind of project methodology
- Ability to influence change at senior management level
- Understanding of industry requirements & trends
