**Job Description Summary**:
**Role Summary/Purpose**:
The Senior Counsel, Global Investigations will be part of a team leading government, regulatory and significant internal investigations for GE Vernova. The role will be part of the new GE Vernova Global Law & Policy Headquarters team and work with functional and business colleagues with a particular focus on work in the Middle East, Africa and Europe. This role will report to the Chief Counsel, Global Investigations for GE Vernova.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
- Supporting management of governmental / regulatory investigations and internal investigations globally (with a focus on the Middle East, Africa and Europe) that could raise legal or reputational risk for GE Vernova and/or its businesses
- Working on matters that may require appearance in front of enforcement agencies
- Ability to co-manage complex investigations across different legal risk areas and different countries
- Driving measurable efficiencies in investigative matter management, including with regard to budgets for external counsel and forensic/discovery-related needs
- Helping to spot (i) emerging issues and trends, (ii) define process improvements and (iii) help with training initiatives
**Qualifications / Requirements**:
- J.D. or equivalent law degree from a recognized international institution
- Significant governmental investigative experience in the public sector or equivalent white-collar defense work experience in the private sector
- Strong investigative experience in a common law and/or civil law jurisdiction and exposure to working in diverse, complex markets
- Strong working knowledge of regulatory and compliance laws in particular in the Middle East, Africa and Europe
- Investigative experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Anti-corruption laws in the United States and internationally
- Trade controls/sanctioned country law
- Anti-trust law
- Anti-money laundering law
- Intellectual property theft / economic espionage / computer crimes
- Complex frauds
- 2nd language skill (Arabic or French preferred)
- High level of cultural sensitivity, flexibility and emotional intelligence in order to work effectively within GE Vernova’s multicultural environment and with local GE teams

- Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and data and draw reasonable conclusions, communicate clearly, possess excellent writing skills and as a strong team player be able to work effectively with others at various levels of the organization
- As the position requires working across various functions within GE Vernova (e.g., Legal & Compliance, Security, HR, Finance), demonstrated networking skills
- Flexible and collaborative team player who is passionate about GE Vernova’s mission
- Ability to work independently in an evolving, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects while maintaining a high quality of work
- Experience in and understanding of the energy / power generation sector and products

Le conseiller principal, Global Investigations, fera partie d'une équipe qui dirigera les enquêtes gouvernementales, réglementaires et internes importantes pour GE Vernova. Le poste fera partie de la nouvelle équipe du siège social mondial de GE Vernova et travaillera avec des collègues fonctionnels et commerciaux, en mettant particulièrement l'accent sur le travail au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique et en Europe. Ce rôle relèvera du conseiller en chef des enquêtes mondiales de GE Vernova.
Responsabilités essentielles:
- Soutenir la gestion des enquêtes gouvernementales/réglementaires et des enquêtes internes dans le monde entier (en mettant l'accent sur le Moyen-Orient, l'Afrique et l'Europe) susceptibles d'accroître les risques juridiques ou de réputation pour GE Vernova et/ou ses activités
- Capacité à cogérer des enquêtes complexes dans différents domaines de risque juridique et dans différents pays
- Favoriser des gains d'efficacité mesurables dans la gestion des enquêtes, notamment en ce qui concerne les budgets destinés aux conseillers externes et les besoins liés à la criminalistique/à la découverte
- Aider à identifier (i) les nouveaux problèmes et tendances, (ii) à définir les améliorations à apporter aux processus et (iii) à contribuer aux initiatives de formation
Qualifications/Exigences:
- J.D. ou diplôme de droit équivalent délivré par une institution internationale reconnue
- Expérience significative en matière d'enquêtes gouvernementales dans le secteur public ou expérience professionnelle équivalente en matière de défense en col blanc dans le secteur privé
- Solide expérience en matière d'investigation dans une juridiction de common law et/ou de droit civil et expérience de travail sur des marchés divers et complexes
