Please note that this position is only open to European nationalities.

VIE position based in Havana, Cuba.

Renewable 1-year contract.

You’ll be in charge of:

- Havana Club is the number three international rum brand in the world outside the US.
- Havana Club is the worldwide leader in super premium and above rums.
- Havana Club is exported to more than 120 countries around the world (excluding the US where Cuban products are banned due to the trade embargo).
- Havana Club's main export markets are in Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, UK) and the Americas (Chile, Canada, Argentina, Mexico).

You’ll be part of:
Within the Innovation team, the Innovation Coordinator will support the Innovation team in driving the company NPD (New Product Development) process, coordinating the different process steps from idea presentation to product launch and monitoring phase.

The role implies close coordination with all departments involved in a new product creation: marketing teams on idea creation and presentation to the board - NPD project leaders to coordinate project timeline and advise on lead times - logistics and operations teams to coordinate feasibility as well as the test and production phases - financial teams to follow on costs and profitability - legal teams to check upon trade registration and regulations compliance
- export teams to coordinate with distributor markets.

The role requires to manage complex and technical aspects of NPD.

Your key missions:
Be the guardian of the NPD process & tools
- Organize, coordinate and lead meetings and steps of the NPD process: define Gates meeting dates, prepare gate presentations and material, follow up with each team on the respect of timing and deliverables.
- Support in improving the NPD process & tools when necessary.
- Help in assuring an Innovation database accessible by all stakeholders.

Coordinate all NPD projects led or not by the Innovation team
- Help the dialogue between the marketing project leader and other functions: finance, operations & logistics. Bring support on the planning & technical aspects.
- Guarantee the respect of timings & the delivery of the required information to progress efficiently on the project

Lead own Innovation projects
- Support the Innovation Hub transition within the Marketing Transformation plan
- Handover of projects, onboarding on new platform, feedback to Innovation platform team for improvements

Be the single and direct point of contact for technical innovation information (product cloud, consumer questions, management of new product Q&A etc.)

Coordinate all regular Innovation presentations

Travel : None to limited. Personal trips back to France can be the opportunity to spend time at the Headquarters in Paris.

You have a Master’s degree in management etc. We are open to different fields, though affinity with Marketing and Consumer goods would be a plus.

You have 1-2 years’ experience in New Product Development, or Project Management. Experience in Innovation process would be a real plus.

You know how to use MS project and Planning tools.

You have a good level of written and spoken English and Spanish. French is a plus.

You have a drivers’ licence for at least 2 years.

Functional skills:

- Strong organizational capabilities - ability to coordinate and manage several projects with many stakeholders
- Excellent understanding of a process and technical aspects of a project. Marketing affinity is a plus.
- Resilient to pressure and complex situations
- Excellence in execution - showing attention to details, following good roll out of projects.

Soft skills:

- Teamwork: natural ability to cooperate effectively with other people, with a positive attitude and a capability to put him/herself in other people’s shoes.
- An energetic “hands on” doer & problem-solver: committed to work in a proactive way and with high involvement in making projects happen.
- Good communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal, to deal with different audiences both internal and external. Need to be analytical and able to share knowledge in a synthetic way.
- Flexibility and adaptability: capacity to work in a complex environment due to the structure of the company and its location.
