We are currently recruiting for a Junior Graphic Designer for a 5 month (maternity cover role) fixed term to join the Visual Merchandising/Graphic Design Team in France.
As a Junior Graphic Designer for UNIQLO France, you will work within the Visual Merchandising team, partnering with Marketing for the implementation of graphic creations, in order to meet brand objectives and standards, and in line with the overall strategy of the company - with a focus on POP. This role will offer you the opportunity to work with the wider EU business, across departments such as, merchandising, allocation, store operations, e-commerce, store development, store design to understand and identify needs.
Key Responsibilities- Understanding the overall strategy of the company and recommend the best graphics solution for your market- Ensuring and maintaining high graphic quality as a brand, mastering the translation of creation and communication tools from English to French, adding pricing and creating in detail graphic visualisation.- Managing the calendar of creations, supporting new store opening POP, posters layout visualisation, in store communication creation- Interacting with local members to find the best creative solution, and responding reactively to the graphic needs of stores- Managing the execution of the creation- Leading creative guidelines, following the EU POP, and posters graphic- Handling ad
- hoc store PoS orders and verifying the quantity and delivery.- Interacting with agencies and printing companies to respect deadlines. Coordinating weekly POS orders from all stores- Processing and follow orders with suppliers, ensuring delivery of materials on time and within budget- Creating reports, ensuring compliance with the defined budget and monitoring the budget on a monthly basis to your manager before any overrun- Creating the request for Purchase Orders in the accounting system and following up on invoicing with suppliers and financial management
What we are looking for:
Experience & Skills- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related area- Proficient in adobe creative suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustration, SketchUp- Good Microsoft Office skills, including excel- Clear and efficient with communication both written and oral in English and French- Strong organisational and planning skills- Marketing/Business understanding, with experience working within brand guidelines- Minimum 3 years previous experience working in a creative agency or in-house- A strong portfolio of design work across print and digital media
Attributes- Confidence in taking on new challenges, and working cross functionally to achieve set targets- Self-starter who is able to use initiative to run projects and tasks on their own without direct supervision- Open to change and is happy to work in a flexible environment.- Able to analyse and grasp small details quickly- A results oriented person, that has a branding sense- Attention to detail with a strong eye for layouts, typography, and imagery- Ability to manage creative business partners, multi-task and deliver high quality work within short deadlines- Excellent communication and organisational skills, solution-driven mindset, enthusiasm, reactivity and team spirit- Strong interest in culture, fashion, art, design, and creative innovations
