The HR Director will provide strategic leadership for human resources functions, policies and processes at La Vallée Village in order to help drive growth and maximise achievement of business goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Talent acquisition, Talent retention and Talent management (compensation and benefits, career and competence management)-
- Develop human resource programmes (in line with group programmes) that contribute to the acquisition, retention, motivation, and development of employees capable of meeting current and future organisational needs and objectives-
- Monitor French legislative changes and ensure legislative changes are incorporated/applied and understood-
- Develop and manage HR department budgets and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses-
- Working with the HR Manager, create, deliver and implement the global HR strategy, programmes and calendar to support the organisations overall strategy and growth objectives-
- Social relations-
- Partner with Senior Management/Function Heads - act as a mentor and guide to challenge them to think about how resource and headcount can be used in the most efficient and effective way. Counsel management on strategic planning, organisation design processes and corporate direction-
- Support colleagues in establishing and implementing short
- and long-range departmental goals for their teams and ensure that the VR Academy/ training & development programmes are maximised.-
- Be a trusted advisor, thoughtful sounding board and business partner to the La Vallee Village senior leadership team, functioning as the expert of people and organisational issues-
- Recommend and maintain an organisational structure and staffing to accomplish company goals and objectives-
- Support Group HR Director on group-wide initiatives in collaboration with the HR Manager/Director of each Village; gaining their input to knowledge share and then to ensure a smooth and seamless delivery.-
- Work with the Group HR Director and other Village HR Directors, evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectivesBACKGROUND & SKILLS:
- Minimum 15-20 years' experience in a senior global HR role, within a large rapidly changing and fast paced global environment-
- Degree Educated ideally in Human Resources, Business Management, Organisational Development or Organisational Psychology-
- Strong experience in Social Relations and time spent doing so in France-
- Ability and experience in efficiently dealing with social crises-
- Strong consulting and coaching skills; effective advisor to leaders across all functional business areas-
- Demonstrated decision-making and objective problem solving skills-
- Personable character and an exceptional communicator - ability to communicate at the highest level both written and verbal in all departments, on a global scope-
