**Skills, knowledge, experience required**:
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma or a level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education and, after obtaining the diploma, 3 years’ proven professional experience;
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant professional experience in protective security;
- Excellent knowledge on:
- Security reception services for the protective security support;
- Coordinating the security reception services combined with a solid background in front desk management or reception services;
- Security guarding services for the protective security support;
- Coordinating the security monitoring room and guarding services combined with a solid background in military, police or security specialization where carrying defensive means was a standard and the use of personal protective and defensive means was required;
- Knowledge on:
- Implementing good practices in physical security;
- Managing access control systems, video surveillance systems, and other security and/or safety systems;
- Performing security and safety risk assessments for the site or special events;
- Security controls;
- Capability of:
- Handling access requests for the site and communicating with the stakeholders;
- Identifying specific vulnerabilities and threats regarding the security and safety of the site and assets;
- Effectively coordinate security guarding and reception operations on a sensitive site;
- Knowledge and capability of performing first response in case of an emergency;
- Ability to:
- Run reports and handle special security
- and safety-related projects, actions or activities;
- Perform management of security guards;
- Recognize and evaluate the seriousness of threats;
- Multi-task;
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, loyalty, confidentiality. and professionalism, including following the Line Management instructions;
- Exercise professional discretion in a highly confidential work environment;
- Be part of a multicultural team and working environment;
- Excellent usage of MS Office, in particular MS Excel;
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills;
- Customer orientation and very professional attitude and appearance;
- Good communication and writing skills in English (C1 or higher);
- Good level of French language (B2 or higher).
**Duties/role**:
- Supervising directly all security monitoring room personnel and/or reception desk personnel and ensuring proper completion of all Security Unit duties;
- Directing and overseeing security guarding and reception activities and operations of the guards and security receptionists in coordination with the Security Unit members;
- Ensuring first and excellent security reception services as well as the quality of security guarding monitoring, enforcing accurate security data collection and reporting from the guards and security receptionists, and maintaining efficient organization of duties and guards and security receptionists tasking during their respective shifts on site;
- Monitoring tasks of the security monitoring room personnel and/or reception desk personnel, setting goals/developing plans to improve their services and tasks;
- Creating and maintaining site shifting schedules between different posts and delegating assignments to each guard and receptionist to maximize site security efficiency;
- Assuring that morning and evening site deployment briefings are run as required by the eu-LISA;
- Providing guidance on changes that might occur whilst on duty;
- Ensuring strictly that security guards and security receptionists do their daily tasks and patrols as per the standards and instructions;
- Contributing to forecasting, planning, and execution of security trainings for the team as well as maintaining their proper qualification records and defensive means certifications;
- Carrying defensive means whenever on duty and/if required to do so;
- Coordinating management of the access on site;
- Implementing a follow-up of the corrective and improvement actions identified for the access management;
- Monitoring and reporting on the way the security guards are fulfilling their specific responsibilities;
- Supporting the draft of tender specifications (designing, assessing. and supporting administratively implementation of the physical security systems);
- Providing support during security incident analysis or risk assessments;
- Providing administrative support for guard force operating procedures and instructions;
- Supporting coordination and administration of the emergency response capability;
- Preparing documents such as reports, notes, letters, presentations, etc.;
- Coordinating the flow of work in liaison with staff members from Security Unit and/or other eu-LISA Departments and Units;
