Founded in 2017 in Amiens (France), Tiamat draws on nearly 10 years of academic research carried out by CNRS and university research units within RS2E (Collège de France in Paris, LRCS in Amiens, CIRIMAT in Toulouse, ICMCB in Bordeaux and CSIC in Barcelona) and benefits from a first contract in the field of electroportable tools.
Currently based at the LRCS laboratory in Amiens, TIAMAT will start construction in 2024 of a 5GWh Gigafactory dedicated to the production of its Sodium-ion technology. Ultimately, the company will employ over 1,000 people.
**Job description**
**General mission**
As Process Project Manager, your role will be to manage the capital goods supplier responsible for delivering a turnkey battery production line for our Gigafactory construction project.
**Your main responsibilities will be to**:
You will be responsible for ensuring that the production line achieves the required production capacity while minimizing scrap and optimizing its energy efficiency.
**Your main activities will be to**:
1 - Machine Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the machinery supplier.
- Monitor the supplier's activities on a daily basis to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Manage contracts, delivery deadlines and costs associated with the supply of the manufacturing line, as well as its transportation, installation and commissioning phase.
2 - Line Plan Optimization:
- Coordinate the production facilities design teams to ensure optimal integration of the line into the building design, in coordination with the Building Project Manager.
- Ensure that the line layout is optimized in terms of footprint and ease of operation.
- Ensure that the interface between the production line and the rest of the site is efficient and complies with safety standards.
3 - Organization of the qualification of production resources:
- Contribute to defining both technical requirements and acceptance processes for manufacturing resources.
- Develop with all internal and external stakeholders both the FAT - Factory Acceptance Test and the SAT - Site Acceptance Test.
- Ensure the training and skills upgrading of Machine Leaders between our various partners.
4 - Line operational organization:
- Optimize all logistics flows for raw materials, components to be assembled and finished products.
- Study with both the capital goods supplier and the Building Project Manager the number, location and flows of production and operations support staff.
- Define the right level of automation for the line and the type of robots, including logistics robots, to be integrated in line with the ramp-up and deployment of the various industrial sections.
- Define and manage the MES (Manufacturing Engineering System) interface to ensure the best possible supervision of the line in the spirit of Factory 4.0.
5 - Production capacity optimization:
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to define production capacity targets.
- Seek references and performance ratios from other Lithium battery Gigafactory projects around the world.
- Implement quality control mechanisms to minimize scrap throughout the production process.
- Implement continuous improvement solutions to optimize productivity.
6 - Energy efficiency:
- Evaluate technologies and best practices for optimizing production line energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineers and specialists to implement solutions aimed at reducing energy consumption.
- Be a driving force behind innovation in this evolving field.
**Specific professional knowledge**
- Engineering degree or equivalent training in mass production processes.
- Significant experience in managing production line industrialization projects.
- Experience of receiving manufacturing resources both in the factory and on site.
- Proven experience in managing complex industrial projects, ideally in the battery or automotive production sector.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated equipment.
- Project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and deadline tracking.
- Ability to work effectively with international suppliers and multicultural teams.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems proactively.
