The Quality Function is responsible for ensuring that customer requests are understood and translated into robust processes, which comply with legal and quality approval requirements. This is achieved by working with all employees to increase the company’s efficiency, effectiveness and profitability by identifying and facilitating opportunities for improvement.
As a Quality Manager you will drive improvement activity to ensure that the quality performance meets customer and internal expectations through the adoption of Quality and Lean tools to increase departmental operational effectiveness and efficiency. Lead, develop and performance manage all aspects of the Quality function’s people, processes and practices.
Your responsibilities:

- Develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers; personally drive customer (or supplier) improvement activity to promote the long-term interest of the business.
- Lead and develop the quality team to ensure the team’s capability meets current and future requirements in support of Function and Company strategies.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the technical team to ensure department performance exceeds business needs.
- Improve business performance by identifying key areas for business improvement, then lead and sponsor improvement projects to ensure the site (or department) has an active Continuous Improvement Plan to improve performance.
- Ensure compliance to Quality Management System to maintain external accreditations and any specific customer approvals.
- Participate in improvement activities at department / company level to enhance business performance.
- Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies, and procedures, including those relating to Health and Safety, Data Protection and all those contained within the issued Employee Handbook and Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Undertake other duties and tasks that may be allocated that are appropriate to the job.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Qualifications & Experience:

- Extensive Quality systems ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge
- Extensive engineering / manufacturing experience Aerospace or automotive
- Some experience in customer or supplier facing technical role within Aerospace
- Some experience of leading improvement activities
- HNC / HND / NVQ 3 or equivalent 10 years in a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment
- Change Management skills
- Project Management skills
- Some six sigma and lean experience will be additional asset
- Advanced French and English language proficiency required
